GEROH is in the enchanting Waischenfeld, southwest of the festival and university city of Bayreuth. From the airport of Nuremberg, you can reach GEROH by car in about 60 minutes.

Detailed directions from the Nuremberg airport:

Follow the Flughafenstraße up to the first T-intersection and turn left onto the Marienbergstraße, which turns into Bierweg after crossing an intersection. Cross the railroad crossing and turn left at the next traffic light into the outer Bayreuther Straße/B2 towards the highway. Then take the B2 shortly and switching to the highway A3 towards Regensburg/Munich/Berlin when possible.

Now follow the  highway signs leading to Berlin, change to the A9 towards Berlin at the Nuremberg motorway junction and drive for about 51 km on the A9. Leave the A9 on the interchange Trockau (43) and follow the signs towards Waischenfeld until you see the GEROH "lighthouse" on the horizon.
