4m Spindle Mast for the Police of Berlin
Since November 2011 the Police of Berlin has a new crime scene documentation vehicle with integrated laser scanner. Developed by Baumeister & Trabant the vehicle is designed for the forensic survey of large area crime scenes. The measuring data are available directly after the scan for first analyses.
Equipped is the vehicle with a 4m Telescopic Spindle Mast (4 SPM 4), with a 3D – laser scanner at the top. The laser scanner from Zöller + Fröhlich is characterized by its compact dimensions, its extended view field and its extraordinary operating distance, which allows the use in case of large area accidents.
All GEROH spindle masts are especially developed for highest requirements in precision and high payloads. The worldwide best possible precision is guaranteed by our special treated mast sections. The extending and retracting is warranted by our reliable spindle drive. The spindle drive allows an environmental independent operation – also in case of heavy wind, ice or extreme declination of the vehicle.
Because of the described characteristics the spindle mast systems are excellently suited for demanding measurement equipment, optical / electronic intelligence systems as well as radar systems or target recognition systems. All systems have one requirement in common: a high level of precision.
Our spindle driven solutions are designed for inside and outside vehicle installation as well as for shelter or they are mounted at one of our trailers. They are for heights up to 18 m and payloads up to 600 kg.
